Data Projects
Data Cleaning, Exploratory Data Analysis & Data Modelling
Next to my research projects, I am always interested in data projects and enjoy exploring various data sets. I am interested in exploratory data analysis (EDA) and data modelling to recognize patterns in data, optimize predictions and draw meaningful conclusions. I am intrigued by new statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to enhance our understanding of data.
Check out my data vizualization skills using Tableau Public and some of my exploratory data work in Python on my Google drive. For an example of my research work, you may have a look at the replication package of my published paper "Power Outages, Firm Productivity, and Generator Ownership in East Africa" on GitHub.

Datasets
I am currently working on generating a dataset on (monthly) travel times & distance between major African citities using R and Google Maps since 2020. The dataset may serve as a source to translate changes in travel times to road works (improvements & new roads).
